Our Team
Well the team is just me, Martyn at the moment. I moved to the UAE at the start of 2016 and fell in love with the country. Initially living in wonderful Abu Dhabi, I moved to Dubai in mid 2016 for work purposes. Having spent my life in the IT side of Financial Services and making a decent living from it too, life decided that I needed a change, and so was born Burnt-Carbon. Finally putting my thermodynamics knowledge from the University of Coventry to use, I wanted to improve on the kamados in the market and embody some aspects of the amazing lifestyle that the the UAE has afforded me – the amazing people that I have met and consider great friends along with exceptional quality and style, which is the whole ethos of Burnt-Carbon.
One thing I do want to mention is that, despite the company only being me (at the moment) it could not have happened without the wonderful cosmopolitan city and peoples of Dubai. Currently I have had amazing help from people from the following nation:-
UK, Syria, Serbia, Philippines, Germany, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, South Africa, Ghana, Bali, Vietnam, France, Belgium, Liberia, Croatia, Denmark, Lithuania and of course the UAE. They all came to help me when I needed them, and I’m sure this list will continue to grow as Burnt-Carbon matures.
